It is not only Swimmers that suffer from the effects

of water in the ear, as a simple shower or bath will

do the trick of accumulating the disease know as

Swimmers Ear.
Recently a family members child aged 1 and a half

ended up in hospital with an ear infection that

originated from a simple pleasant bath in a clean

bath with clean water, so how would he have then

develop an ear infection? The answer is simple Water

in the ear. Smaller children have a deeper external

ear canal than adults and it is easy for water to

get trapped there. This external ear canal

straightens out when we grow older. Prevention is

the best protection.
The last thing you want to happen is being on

holiday and having ear problems mainly due to
water in the ear that can escalte to a bacteria or

fungus and eventually ear infection in children or

adults. Prevent these things from
happening Aqua Ear is a natual combination that can

be used for all ages young and old.

all the debree that is some times washed up on our

shores can enter the canal and cause damage. Surfers

are usually in the water for hours at an end, they

sometimes use surfing suits to mainly protect them

from cold weather, they put loads of colourful sun

block on their noses and cheeks against sunburn but

do they protect their ears?
Like said before not every-one is sensitive to

fluids in ear, but it usually takes just one

experience of ear ache to realize that you need to

So how would an adult get Swimmers Ear?
Water that is contaminated facilitates fungi or

bacteria to the ear canal.
Scratching the ears using sharp or dirty

fingernails, pens, toothpick and keys may cause a

tear in delicate tissues of the ear canal which

could lead to infection.
Chemical irritants may make way inside the ear canal

and cause irritation. Example, Hairsprays, shampoos,

hair dyes.
Cleaning ears removing to much of our natural ear

wax, can prevent the earwax from doing its job like

stopping dirt particles from doing harm. Diabetes

could make earwax too alkaline inviting bacteria and

other infections.
If the ear canals are narrower than normal, the

water can't drain as effectively causing water

retention in the ear.
Swimming, bathing or living in a moist environment

also causes moisture in the ear.
Exposure to any infectious organism from swimming in

polluted water is another known cause of swimmers
